ORANGE1 FFF Racing Team by ACM scores more podiums in the GT World Challenge Europe

ORANGE1 FFF Racing Team by ACM scored three podiums in the third round of the Blancpain GT Series World Challenge Europe held in Zandvoort. The team, thanks to a super qualifying session on Saturday, saw Andrea Caldarelli set the third-fastest time, a position that Marco Mapelli kept in the second stint of Race 1 until the chequered flag. The #563 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO sees the gap closing at the top of the World Challenge Europe standings, Mapelli, qualified 14th due to very damp and difficult track conditions, but the ORANGE1 FFF Racing by ACM crew was able to put on a superb pit-stop, allowing the Italian duo to gain positions up to the 7th place with also the fastest lap time set during the race.  Now Caldarelli and Mapelli have 53 points, and are second in the standings, while the leaders have 61,5 points. It was another amazing weekend in the Pro-Am class, where Phil Keen and Hiroshi Hamaguchi took a first and third place with the #519, confirming themselves as one of the most solid pairs in the series. Rain during the races disturbed also the Silver Cup pair, with Diego Manchaca and Taylor Proto who set a positive fifth place in their class in race 2, doing many overtakes in a track where is historically very difficult, from 23rd to 16th, showing an amazing potential.

Fu Songyang, ORANGE1 FFF Racing by ACM Team Owner
“I think to score more points than what we did this week-end wasn’t possible. Weather conditions were very difficult to manage, and our drivers gave their best in all the conditions. The Silver Cup, I think, has the highest level seen in the last years of Blancpain GT, while we are leading the way in the Blancpain GT in the Overall Drivers and Teams. Since the beginning of the year we have 0always been on the podium, and we are setting the pace in the Pro-Am, so I can say I am every day prouder of my team. Now we can’t take a break and rest to be ready for the Big One in Spa, at the end of the month”.
