PRESS RELEASE  February, 12th 2019

The long wait is almost over. And this time is a bombshell! Orange1 Racing and M-Sport have created a new partnership that will bring the British team to deploy an official Ford Fiesta R5 in the Italian Rally Championship 2019 led by Simone Campedelli and Tania Canton.

Few words to highlight one of the latest and extraordinary news in the Italian Rally Scenario, in which for several seasons no high level team has been involved like M-Sport, the multi-awarded winning team in the World Rally Championship.

For the fourth year, Simone Campedelli and Orange1 Racing will race with a Ford Fiesta R5 in the Italian Championship, this time featuring the best technical and logistical level, thus being able to exploit their full potential without any further conditioning.

<The entry of M-Sport in the Italian Rally Championship – explains Armando Donazzan, the passionate President of Orange1 Racing – has an implicit but also clear meaning. The value and the greatness of the Team of Mr. Malcolm Wilson needs no introduction so that this new entry in the Italian scene elevates the Championship itself. A bit like Juventus did, bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to play in the Italian football league! M-Sport is a highest-level technical partner and is not the only one joining Orange1 Racing in 2019 – continued Donazzan -. We are about to reveal other technical supporting partners;  not a project for its own but the beginning of a bigger picture.

We are so proud to have fantastic partners like M-Sport and those we will reveal at the official presentation of the team. We will do in the Rally what we are already doing on the track, where we are bond to top manufacturer like Lamborghini reaching results in plain sights.

This Rally Championship is a great opportunity not only for us but also for Simone Campedelli, who has the right background to finally prove to be the winner we all know. Simone has a fantastic career opportunity because the collaboration with M-Sport can lead to great future development, starting with the official test with Malcolm Wilson’s technicians. I’m sorry – concludes Donazzan – that Paolo Andreucci, a great driver I really appreciate,  won’t attend the 2019 Championship, nevertherless I know there will be other good opponents to challenge us.”

And, to keep up with high level partners, Orange1 Racing has created an innovative communication program, among whose the latest is having a great success: fans can send their interpretation of the new Fiesta M-Sport Orange1 Racing livery design; the winning idea will be rewarded with an invitation to the official team presentation event! Soon the details will be revealed!
