The young German takes turns behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 from the Team from Veneto with Fabrizio Crestani and Gustavo Yacaman

This weekend Orange1 Team Lazarus starts its first race in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. After the debut in the Sprint Cup in early April at Misano, the Team from Veneto is now ready to get onto the prestigious track of Monza for the first endurance race of the season, organised by SRO Motorsports.

Orange1 Team Lazarus will start with its orange Lamborghini Huracán GT3, which was driven at Misano by Fabrizio Crestani and Gustavo Yacaman. The Team’s international drivers’ line-up for the Endurance Series is now completed by Nicolas Pohler. For the 21-year-old German (born on 21 September 1995 in Munich) this is already the second season in GT racing after a brilliant career in Formula racing, culminating in 2015 with his start in the European FIA F.3 Championship.

Earlier in his career, Pohler had the occasion to show his skills in the Euroformula Open two seasons in a row. Pohler is part of the 23 drivers in the 2017 Lamborghini Squadra Corse GT3 Junior Programme and has without doubt already gained an impressive experience behind the wheel of the cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

“Having such a young man with such a knowledge of the GT category is for all of us extremely satisfying,” Tancredi Pagiaro – Orange1 Team Lazarus Team Principal – said. There is no doubt that Nicolas adds some extra-value to our team. With three quick drivers like Pohler, Crestani and Yacaman we know that we can do it and we’ll give it our all already here at Monza.”

On Saturday, 22 April, free practice and pre-qualifying of the first weekend of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will be held. On Sunday, the qualifying will precede the race over three hours, which will be started at 2:45pm.
