ORANGE1 FFF Racing by ACM scores maiden win in Misano

Misano set an important goal in ORANGE1 FFF Racing Team by ACM, scoring its maiden win in its Europe campaign. Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli won an amazing race-1 under the sunset lights, with the Pescara-born driver who started third after a great qualifying, and manage properly turn-1 traffic, taking second position. In lap 3 Andrea took also the lead, saving 7 seconds gap from the first opponents, who suddenly spun, calling a safety-car. At the restart, the pit-wall called Caldarelli for the driver change in an undercut strategy, with Mapelli at the wheel in the second stint taking situation under control until the chequered flag. In race-2, Marco started the race from third row, recovering few positions until the driver change, with Caldarelli third after the change. Andrea managed to put under pressure an Audi in second position, crossing as runner-up the finish line. Caldarelli-Mapelli are now second in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe standings, six points away from the leadership.

A super week-end also for the Pro-Am standings with #519 car winning Race-2 with Phil Keen and Hiroshi Hamaguchi who crossed the finish line in 17th position. This is the second victory to the British-Japanese duo after the Brands Hatch result, which allow all the ORANGE1 FFF Racing Team by ACM as one of the most competitive in all the classes. Also, Silver Cup boys, Diego Menchaca and Taylor Proto, set their best qualifying result thanks to an 8thplace in Qualifying 2, with a final 10th position and 4thin the Silvers. As well, the team set second fastest pit-stop in the whole week-end, thanks to the #563 crew.
