Orange1 FFF Racing Team to seek for revenge in the second round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup
Orange1 FFF Racing Team is ready to take the challenge ahead of the Circuit Paul Ricard 1000 km, the second round of the 2021 Endurance Cup of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS. After the unlucky outing at Monza, where a technical problem after the first pit stop ruined a race led since first lap thanks to the pole position conquered on Saturday, the Chinese squad entering two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO is seeking for revenge at Le Castellet.
On the French track, Orange1 FFF Racing Team conquered third position both in 2019 and 2020. Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli and Mirko Bortolotti are determined to open their points score at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO #63, knowing they have the potential to reach the podium.
Bortolotti will again taking part also in the Fanatec Esports GT Pro Series, the virtual 1-hour race that as of this season takes place ahead of the real race and awards some valuable Teams’ points.
On their side, the duo composed of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Phil Keen, in the Huracán GT3 EVO #19, will aim at seizing the top position in the standings of the Pro-Am class, following the excellent P2 conquered in the difficult race, under the rain, at Monza.
Fu Songyang, Team Owner Orange1 FFF Racing Team
“We brought back from the first race of the season the bitter taste of a win that vanished, but also the sweet of the excellent performance shown in qualifying and the first part of the race, which proves our competitiveness, and the great result of our second car. We go to Paul Ricard with the objective to reconfirm all that and catch up on the points lost in the standings, knowing that we have a team and the drivers able to achieve that. In France, there will be the additional variable of darkness, as the race takes partly place at night time, but this will be an excellent rehearsal ahead of the Spa 24 Hours.”
