Tresor Competition and Orange1 Holding announce a new collaboration named Tresor Orange1 to compete in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS with an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo entered in the PRO category for both the Endurance and Sprint Cup.
The team will field Mattia Drudi (ITA), Ricardo Feller (CH), and Dennis Marschall (GER) for the endurance races, while Drudi and Feller will drive the car for the Sprint Cup. In both series, the Tresor Orange1 crew will rely on technical management of the car by Attempto Racing GmbH and compete with the #40 racing number. Drudi and Feller recently shared the car at the Kyalami 9 Hours, finishing in third place overall.
Drudi has regularly participated in the GT World Challenge since 2019 when he finished third in the Silver Cup, and last year he defended Tresor Competition’s colours in the Endurance Cup. Despite his young age, he is a talented driver who won the 2021 Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship, achieved two podium finishes in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, and had numerous successes in his early years with karting.
Feller, who will turn 23 next June, already won the 2021 ADAC GT Masters and will continue his experience in the GT World Challenge, where he has achieved significant results in recent seasons. He finished second this year in the iconic Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour in GT3 Pro-Am and also raced in VLN, DTM, and the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
Marschall, born in 1996, made his debut with covered wheels in 2015 with Audi in the Audi Sport TT Cup, where he finished third in 2015 and second in 2016. He also began his career in karting, but his greatest successes were in GT racing. He finished second in the Pro-Am category at the ADAC Total 24 hours of Nürburgring in 2021 and has been racing in the GT World Challenge since 2020, making his debut with Tresor Competition last December at the Gulf 12 Hours.
Ferdinando Geri (Team Principal):
“We are pleased to announce the partnership with Orange1 Holding, which aims to play a leading role in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup, a series where we debuted last year and are now motivated to improve on the positive results achieved in our debut season. Thanks to the expertise of Attempto Racing GmbH in managing the car and the great talent of all three drivers, I am sure we will achieve great things. Orange1 has a long tradition of racing that we share, and a great ability to stand out. We faced two days of testing at Paul Ricard, and the data we collected was very positive, allowing us to approach the race in Monza with the right ambition”.
Armando Donazzan (Orange1 Holding’s President):
“After seven years of partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse, with whom we have won many titles, we have decided to join Audi Sport and Tresor Competition for the next few years. This decision is the result of a careful analysis of multiple opportunities. We believe that this new collaboration is the best and will allow us to match the incredible results achieved so far. The team and the car have all that is needed to be winners, which is our goal because it is part of our DNA. Participation is important, but we always want to aim for the top to remain in history”.
